Fav. Quote: “Maybe each human being lives in a unique world, a private world different from those inhabited and experienced by all other humans. . . If reality differs from person to person, can we speak of reality singular, or shouldn't we really be talking about plural realities? And if there are plural realities, are some more true (more real) than others? What about the world of a schizophrenic? Maybe it's as real as our world. Maybe we cannot say that we are in touch with reality and he is not, but should instead say, His reality is so different from ours that he can't explain his to us, and we can't explain ours to him. The problem, then, is that if subjective worlds are experienced too differently, there occurs a breakdown in communication ... and there is the real illness.”

Vegan Story: Almost 9 years ago one of my best friends (Johnny Five) and I decided to go vegetarian for new years eve and see who could do it the longest. I was obese and had numerous health problems. After doing it for a month or so I started to research how our food is made and where it comes from. I was shocked when I actually saw how the animal agriculture industry and factory farming actually worked. I was also surprised and appalled to find out what the Government, FDA and USDA allow to happen in the animal agriculture process as well as the skewed data and misinformation that is bombarded upon the public from the time we are born. I decided that vegetarian was so easy, good for my health and delicious that giving up eggs and dairy would also be easy and beneficial. Not only is there a great health benefit but I can directly remove myself from a cruel and unnecessary industry that is veiled in greed, corruption and cruelty. I have been vegan just shy of 9 years and under no circumstances, yes even being stranded on a desert island, would I go back to supporting animal cruelty and an omnivorous diet.
